Very sadden to learn of TH's passing. My memory of TH is how welcoming he and Jerri were to me on my very first visit to Mississippi for the Walker Family Reunion, July, 1980. They accepted me into the family, picking me up at the airport in Memphis and bringing me to their home to spend the night. A very special warm family. Rest in peace dear cousin.

I first met T.H. Walker in 1981. He took me under his wing and taught me about Civil Defense, managing emergencies and responding to disaster. He regaled us all with camel jokes and tall tales, but he maintained a serious steadfast course when the situation called for it.

He responded to help others regardless of the situation. Once faced with rising tides and howling winds he drowned his Crown Victoria. The result was a new engine and years of gentle ribbing from his cohorts about the "blue submarine".

He wasn't simply my boss. He was my Best Man when I married and was Godfather to my first born. He was above all a friend and father figure.

Rest easy T.H. We love you and will miss you.
