Yes Michelle I know that i sent you this same message just days before your dad's passing but I want all friends to know what a very good friend to me , Ed was over all these past years...
Michelle please read this messsge to your Dad, as a final remembrance of our 40 some years of friendship.
This message is for my dear old friend Ed Barth ..
I wish after all these years of fun and business adventures, I could have been by the side of your hospital bed for a final farewell tribute but I'll send you this message and hope your very loving daughter Michelle will pass it along to you at an appropriate moment.
We both served our country in Vietnam and for that fact alone we have even more in common...we are both motivated to be earners and were never looking for handouts. All we want and wanted was to be rewarded for what we wanted it to be called "a job well done"...our methods may have seemed strange to others but our path to success was very much the same route.
Ed I will say so long for now ..but will never forget your always phone greetings to me in a cheerful voice, "Hello Otto, it's Ed".
I believe we will meet again (HELLO OTTO, IT'S ED) someday when it's my time to leave this Earth and the "land of the BIG PX" .... I'll keep my ears and my eyes open for a SIGN from you and from above, hopefully letting me know that our Heaven's Unknown is not to be feared but rather to be enbraced.

RIP Ed, You have been a good friend now it's my turn to be thnkful that you didn't linger and suffer from a diagnosis that would have led to a long terminally ill future. You were a Christian and I'm sure God opened his arms and welcomed you into Heaven.
