Stella "Steffie" Matyas (nee Zawyrucha), age 92, of Turnersville, passed away, at her home, on Monday, November 28, 2016. Stella was born in Philadelphia.
She worked as the secretary to the Superintendent at Sterling High School. She was a member of the Golden Slippers Dance Club and a volunteer at Kennedy Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Matyas. Stella is survived by her sons Steven (Mary) of Turnersville and Edward (Genie) of Mickleton; grandchildren Andrew Matyas (Dana) , Caitlin Hearn (Patrick), Steven Matyas (Brittney), Ted Matyas (Megan) and Julia Matyas; two great-grand children; and niece Nancy Nakovick.
Viewing Friday morning 8:30 to 10:30am in the Schetter Funeral Home, 304 West Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ. Funeral service will be held at 11am in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 675 Cooper Landing Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ.
