Dear Mary Lou and Family, we are so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I fondly remember Joe as my "older" cousin who was a lot of fun. I spent a good deal of time at Uncle Pete's and Aunt Verna's home on Jeffrey Street because we lived behind the Ridgik's on Engle Street in Chester. Joe would clown around with his brother, Ed, and I would just laugh.
Over the years I remember Joe as a very kind person who never spoke ill of anyone. We were so proud of him as he became a doctor and moved on in his profession. My husband said that Joe was the only person he knew that knew early on what he wanted to do in his life.
We also remember visiting you and Joe in our motorhome when you lived in CA. Joe asked what he could do for us as we were leaving. My husband said that we could use some water in our water tank not realizing that CA had a sever water shortage. Joe never missed a beat as he said to take as much as we needed.
God Bless him, you and your family. Love, Joe & Carole Fedena

In September of 1973 I was Blessed to have Dr. Ridgik deliver my son. He was so kind and so caring. My thoughts are with his family during this sad time. What an "Admirable Man" he was...

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH DR. RIDGIK FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PHYSICIAN SO WONDERFUL TO HIS PATIENTS, HIS STAFF AND ALL THOSE WHO CAME IN CONTACT WITH HIM. JOE WAS A MAN OF FAITH, HE SHARED THAT WITH OTHERS WHO HE TOUCHED WITH ALL HIS KINDNESS AND CARE. JOE HAD AWAY OF MAKING YOU FEEL LIKE FAMILY. HE ALWAYS HAD THAT CARING, FATHERLY MANNER. JOE WAS THE TEACHER. MOLDING THE FUTURE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF PHYSICIANS HE WAS EASY TO TALK TO WHEN YOU NEEDED A FRIEND AND AS A PHYSICIAN YOU COULDN'T ASK FOR A MORE PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND COMPASSIONATE ONE. I WANT TO SEND CONDOLENCES AND LOVE TO ALL OF THE RIDGIK FAMILY. MRS. RIDGIK I PRAY GOD GIVES YOU COMFORT AND STRENGTH IN THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME. I ALSO WANT TO THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL HUSBAND WITH THE WORLD. HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY AND WILL BE FOREVER A MEMORY FOR ME THAT BRINGS A WARM, GENTLE FEELING TO MY HEART. I KNOW MY LIFE WAS BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN HIM.
