We moved to Collingswood about ten years ago and immediately adopted walking around Newton lake in the morning as our choice of exercise. One day we noticed a walker coming toward us, dressed in grey sweats, black high tops, carrying a red brick in each hand. We said good morning. He said God bless you. This went on for several years with the same greeting. We saw him at least once a month. At some point the bricks disappeared and the greeting changed. He said God bless you. And admiring his earnestness, I said God bless you, too. And our new greeting continued. The last time we saw him was at the curve at Cuthbert. He said Happy New Year and I said God bless you, too. And we laughed. We looked forward to seeing him. There is a familiarity with those who exercise around the lake. He was different. A man of easy grace, he brought us joy. It was with sadness when we read about Ralph passing. Our thoughts go toward the family. We will miss him.

Ralph had such an impact on my life as a friend, mentor, my first manager and the man who lead me to Christ. He was always a great listener and someone you could talk for Godly advice especially on the tough days. I called him when my Father passed away. He was a great source of comfort, I still remember his words describing it as a day like no other when you lose your Father.
Ruth, Sara, Julie, and Ralph, Jr our love and prayers are with you all on this day, knowing the loss is deeply felt. Ralph truly exemplified the scripture Let your gentleness be known to all men (Philippians 4:5).

I worked with Ralph on various occasions at RCA / GE / Martin Marietta / Lockheed Martin.

Ralph was a soft-spoken man of God and a gentle giant...a spirit-filled man of God who led by example.

He was not only a coworker and friend, but a role model and mentor.

My deepest condolences to Ralph's family; he will be sorely missed.

I only know Rick from work at PSEG, but I wanted to extend my condolences to the whole family, may the Lord surround you all with his steadfast love during these darkened days before you.
