Barbara was such a beautiful person inside and out; very pleasant to care for and will be truly missed; my condolences to Gerald and family.

A couple of my favorite memories - serving as Mr Gaither's Secretary, I would hear calls that came in for Mr Gaither. Barbara would take all of his calls. IThe front receptionist would call Barbara and I would hear the receptionist on Barbara's speaker phone - Mrs Gaither is on line 1 for Mr Gaither. Given I could hear it a few offices away from Mr G, I assume Me G would heat the receptionist announce the call. Barbara would answer the call and greet Mrs G. She would then call Mr Gaither to announce Mrs Gaither was calling. Note that she sat outside of Mr Gaither's office and could see him. Several times when she would call and announce to Mr G that Mrs Gaither was on line 1 for example, I would hear Mr Gaither say to Barbara, who? She of course would say, Mrs Gaither. It was as if Mr Gaither didn't recognize the name. ♂

Another fun memory was after her retirement from the Gaither firm. Anyone knowing Barbara would know she was a lady of class and eloquence. In 2004, I was riding my Harley motorcycle in her/my neighborhood and saw Barbara out walking by herself. With my helmet on including a shield over my face, I pulled up to her and said hey babe, ya wanna hop on and we'll go for a ride if your life Quite startled, she stumbled for words. I pulled up the face shield on my helmet and she saw who I was. She then said let's do it Tim. I'm up for it. We laughed and chatted a bit and I drove off. Was good to see her. Fun times. Classy lady.
