I always had the highest respect & admiration for
{ and a little bit of fear of : ) } Mr. Chest. As a kid growing up in the community, he seemed to me to carry himself and have qualities unlike most other men in the neighborhood. He not only was a DIAMOND among the Black Men in Oakdale, but an example and role model of a Man, period. Without a doubt his Beloved wife, Ms.Pat, a Beautiful Soul and Soulmate herself, had a big hand helping him become who he was over their many decades of marriage. May God have Mercy on them both on the Day of Judgment and reunite them in Paradise. Kenny Maddox Terre Haute

To the family,Uncle Chess will be truly missed by all .My memories will be when he would call Brenda and tell her to ask if I would make my vegetable soup so he could bag it up and freeze for his meals .Well I will miss that time but now Uncle Chess gets to have Our Lord make his vegetable soup and put it in the Heavens ice-box and when he goes to get a bowl ,he will be walking with Our Lord so they both can enjoy a bowl together .Love you Uncle Chess ,rest you lived a loveing life ..Genny
