Dennis A. Gunther

Evansville, Ind. - Dennis A. Gunther, 58, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Center.

Dennis was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 5, 1962 to the late James and Agnes (Burton) Gunther. He graduated from North Posey High School in 1980, worked for many years at Deaconess Hospital and was currently employed at Home Instead Senior Care. Dennis had great respect for the elderly and was honored to serve them. Above all else, Dennis loved his family. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend. Dennis was a faithful member of The Well at Melody Hill.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy Sue (Troglio) Gunther of Evansville, IN; daughter, Katie Kern (Kyle) of Evansville, IN; son, Jacob Gunther (Rachel) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Patricia (Don) of Arizona and Judy of California; brother, Larry (Valerie) of North Dakota and grandchildren, Landon, Jackson and Matthew.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at The Well at Melody Hill, 5600 Ward Rd., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Mark Hurt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, January 22, 2021 at The Well at Melody Hill and again from 9:00 am until service time on Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Buddy's Promise - Furever Home. If you do choose to send flowers, please do not send lilies due to allergies.

My husband and I both worked with Dennis at Deaconess for many years. He always had a smile on his face and always talked about the love for his family. Prayers go out to all his friends and family he will truly be missed.

Working with DENNIS some years ago at Deaconess some 30 years always did our work but with smiles and true friendships you never find these days .Dennis heaven is your home now your out of you pain.
