Hubert E. Reynolds, Sr.
Boonville - Hubert Eugene Reynolds Sr, 95, of Boonville, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019, at Transcendent North Nursing Home in Boonville, Indiana.
He was born on March 10, 1924 in Warrick Co., Indiana the son of the late John and Maggie (Helms) Reynolds. Hubert served in WWII in the Navy on U.S.S San Diego. He worked for Wright Mine Local 1907 and he was also a blacksmith. He helped the Boonville Saddle Club and enjoyed riding horses. His favorite horse was Smokey. He worked on old time tractors and especially enjoyed showing off his Kitten Steam Engine. He also helped build Thresherman's Park. He was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church of Folsomville, Indiana.
Hubert was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Ezell, of 31 years; daughter, Evelyn Rebecca; step-daughter-in-law, Judy Lewis; brothers, Bill, Herman and Paul Ray and son-in-law's, Michael Denton and Gerald Oakley..
He is survived by his current wife, of 45 years, Nancy; children, Eugene (Barbara) Reynolds Jr. of Boonville, Indiana, Carolyn Denton of Boonville, Indiana, Marilyn Oakley of Chandler, Indiana, Delores (Ron) Harper of Chandler, Indiana; step-children, Sue (Larry) Burris, Mitchell (Renee) Pearl, and Leonard Lewis; grandchildren, Terry, Kerry and Misty Denton, Ron, Matthew, Josh, and Jan Harper, John Reynolds, and Timothy Oakley; grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday and again on Sunday from noon to service time at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana.
Services are 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, Indiana with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name.
