Keith A. Overfield

Evansville, Ind. - Keith A. Overfield, 63, of Evansville, Indiana died on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Keith was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 25, 1957 to Wilford and Jackie Overfield. Keith retired from Bristrol Myers (AstraZeneca) after 39 years. In retirement, Keith enjoyed working for Blue Grass Church and being Mr. Keith to the students and staff at Home For Your Heart Pre-School. Keith enjoyed working outside in the garden, woodworking, spending time at the horse barn with his granddaughter, watching Colts football, eating at McDonald's and would drop anything to help someone else in need. Above all else, Keith loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Keith is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy (Riggs) Overfield; his children, Alicia Shirley (Dave), David Overfield (Jocassa Frankenberger) and Julie Woodruff (Allen) all of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Macy Shirley, Trenton Shirley, Addyson Woodruff and Dean Woodruff; his mother, Jackie Overfield; siblings, Roger Overfield (Danielle) and Debra Whobrey (David); mother-in-law, Lois Riggs.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Wilford A. Overfield in 2001 and father-in-law, Floyd Riggs.

Friends may visit from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a private service for the family at 11:00 am on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Blue Grass Church Main Campus, 14200 Petersburg Rd., Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor Doug Heiman officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Grass United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests donations be made to Home For Your Heart Pre-School.
