Max Alan Welch
Evansville - Max Alan Welch, 68, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.
Max was born in Washington, Indiana on March 5, 1951, to the late Paul and Geraldine (Blaize) Welch. He was a hardworking coal miner with United Mineral for over 30 years. Max was an outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and hunting for deer and mushrooms. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to Gulf Shores, Disney World and the Smoky Mountains.
Max is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bonnie (Mosby) Welch of Evansville, IN; daughter, Hillerie Kandul-Hughes (Kance) of Newburgh, IN; mother-in-law, Edna Mosby; sister-in-law, Betty Welch of CA; grandchildren, Carter Maxwell Kandul and Hudson Eli Kandul; step-grandchildren, Kaden Hughes and Matisen Hughes; and his beloved dog, Brady.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul "PM" M. Welch.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, IN at 1:00 PM EST.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice for all the kindness and compassion shown to Max.
