Richard Paul Langton, 85, of Evansville, IN died on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at North Park Nursing Home. He was born on August 13, 1932 to the late Bertha (Roach) and Michael Langton. He married the late Jacaleen Perrette on September 22, 1956 and they were married for 61 years.
He graduated from Reitz High School and was an Electrician for 37 years with the IBEW Local 16. He began his work at Swanson Nunn and retired from Industrial Contractors. He was a teacher for the JATC apprenticeship for many years. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
Richard and Jackie enjoyed volunteering at the United Caring Shelter. He loved spending time at the shooting range and was an excellent marksman.
He is survived by his son, Gary (Diana) Langton; daughters, Karen Timberlake, Debbie (Jeff) Pate, grandchildren; Shawn Timberlake, Michelle (Matt) Robertson, Melissa Langton, Daniel (Tori) Langton, Ian Pate, and Adrian Pate and great grandchildren, Kayden, Luke, Hannah, and Eli.
Friends may visit from 3:00 -8:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2018 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel 6300 North First Ave. Evansville, IN and continue from 9:30-10:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Chapel of Remembrance at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Father Ted Tempel, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
