Wiswell, Anne C.
Anne Campbell Wiswell, age 25, died unexpectedly on August 11, 2014 in New York City. Annie was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she lived until 1992 when her family moved to Southport, Connecticut. After graduating from high school, Annie studied at both the New School and Hunter College in New York. From an early age Annie was a dedicated violinist, whose greatest love was chamber music. She was a member of Trio Alliance, the Premier String Quartet at Neighborhood Music School in New Haven, and for many years attended the California Summer Music Festival in Monterey, California. Nothing brought her greater joy than to share the gift of music with others. Also an avid hiker, Annie took great pleasure climbing in Vermont and New Hampshire. This past January she and her father climbed Mt. Lafayette in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and Annie had plans to hike the length of the Appalachian Trail in 2015. Survivors include her loving parents Peter and Rena Wiswell of Fairfield, her brother David, his wife Shana and their son, Campbell, of New York City, her grandparents, George and Harriet Wiswell of Southport, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who all loved her very much and will deeply miss her vibrant spirit. A memorial service to remember and celebrate Annie's life will be held at Southport Congregational Church on Saturday, August 23 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers her family requests that donations be made to Chamber Music Central, 157 Roseville Road, Westport, Connecticut 06880. Dear Rena, Peter and family,
We are so sad to hear the tragic news of Annie's passing. We have wonderful memories of Annie when she was a child and teenager and she amazed us with her talent as a musician. Annie's beautiful smile, contagious laugh and her vibrant and full of life spirit lit up the room, and I will always regret that I didn't get to know her better.
Our love and prayers are with you always.

We were so saddened to hear about your loss. Annie and Megan had shared numerous emails, and Megan looked up to Annie because they shared a deep love and appreciation of music. I think about this beautiful young lady who obviously had a very busy life, but who took the time to answer every email from a little kid. That told me how special she had to be. We hope you find comfort in knowing that Annie is in a beautiful place and is at peace. We are keeping you in our hearts and in our prayers.

Peter, Rena, & David: I only had the pleasure of knowing Anne as a little girl. I can remember her coming up to the office in her pretty little dresses and if I remember correctly, she sometimes had a little matching purse. She would always bring a smile to my face. I can tell from the photos that she continued to share her free spirit and beautiful smile with those around her. I was absolutely devastated when I heard of her passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Each of you will always have this beautiful angel watching over you. I will continue to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
