Ernie was Well known throughout the neighborhood. You could never miss Ernie with his red sweatshirt and red sweatpants. I enjoyed many walks with our dogs throughout the time I knew Ernie. I had visited him several times at his home, loved his garden, and we had wonderful conversations in the kitchen of his home. When I was a nursing student, I had the pleasure of interviewing Ernie for one of my projects. He will be sorely missed, & I am comforted knowing he is with his sweetheart, whom he dearly missed. Rest In Peace, dear Ernie.

Our depthest regret to hear that Uncle Ernest past away. Many memorable moments he gave us when we were childern. I can only state he was a very kind and patient man. If we can only minic his goodness the world will be a better place. May god bless him. Robert Cucura Family and Joan Cucura.

Ernie was my neighbor for the 18 years I lived on Currituck Road. He was a good person, generous with the produce from his garden, to which he was devoted year after year, and a gentle soul.
I regret I did not learn of his passing in time to pay my respects .

I met Mr. Gismondi when I was in high school with his son Don and knew of his work in town. I have a lot of respect for Mr.
Gismondi. He made Newtown a home town.

I wish the family well. My thoughts are with you.

Ernie was a pal from the Brookfield YMCA. Every afternoon we would bump fists and say, "Well, we're still here. He being the oldest member and me being second oldest. I had given him a book I wrote about the oldest survivor of the Bataan Death March and 3&1/2 years as a Japanese POW in our war. I miss him hugely.

I was one of Earnie's many friends at the Brookfield YMCA for many years. It was always a pleasure to converse with him. I respect and thank him for his service to our country in WW II. He will be missed by all.

I worked for/ with Ernie for at Sikorsky. He was talented engineer, mentor, and friend. His unique personality had a calming presence on his peers in the chaos and turmoil of working at Sikorsky.
May he RIP
