Albert R. Venegas
Brooklyn, NY - Albert R. Venegas, 58, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021, at his home. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Albert was born on March 17, 1962, in Hanford, California to Adan T. Venegas and Petra Silva Venegas.
Albert moved with his family to Carlsbad, New Mexico, the following year. After graduating from Carlsbad High School, he moved to Albuquerque and obtained a certification in architecture. Albert loved all the world had to offer and traveled to many countries to experience the life and culture of other people. His travels eventually lead him to his beloved New York, where he called home for many years. Albert was passionate about the beauty and diversity of the city and it's people. He traveled all over New York, normally walking or by using the subway, to learn the city. Albert was known for having a strong work ethic and worked wherever he traveled. No job was too hard or beneath him. In addition to being hard working, he was known by his co-workers and friends as being humble, kind, and helpful to everyone. Above all, Albert loved his family with all his being and loved visiting Carlsbad, especially during Thanksgiving, where he would spend time with parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, and family eager to have conversations with each one. Albert valued his privacy but loved long telephone conversations discussing how each and every family member and friend was doing and his philosophy of life. While he lived miles away, he was always present in his family's lives. He will be dearly missed.
Albert is preceded in death by his sister Sylvia Villalobos and brother Juan (John) Venegas.
Albert is survived by his mother Petra Venegas, father Adan Venegas and wife Pat, sisters Sandra Venegas, Grace Branaman (James), Lisa Venegas (Louie Renteria), all of Carlsbad, brother Mark Venegas of San Francisco, CA, and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
