In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lannis Bright of Shelbyville; two sons, Ronald W. Bright and Donald G. (Donna) Bright, three daughters, Twila G. (DeWitt) Senter, Rita K. Balch and Lori A. Dollar; two brothers and three sisters. She also has 12 grandchildren; Erica Bright, Andrew (Ariel) Bright, Ashley (Nick) Hand, Kayla (Marcos) Chavez, Aaron Senter, Jay Dollar, Brooke Bright, Nathan Bright, Timothy (Meradeth) Balch, Heather Dollar, Zackery Balch and Rachel Dollar. Jeanette moved to Farmington in 1973, with her husband Lannis who had started a job with the City of Farmington. They lived in Farmington and Bloomfield for thirty years before returning to Shelbyville, after retirement. Jeanette was a hard working woman, delivering The Daily Times for 27 years rarely taking anytime for herself. Jeanette was a wonderful wife and mother. She and Lannis also pastored a church in Bloomfield for almost 30 years. She would play the piano by watching Lannis change cords on the guitar. She loved teaching Sunday School and working with the little children. Jeanette had a passion for her rose gardens and loved to listen to old time gospel music. She could sing like an angel.
Jeanette once wrote: "I worked hard at everything that I did. Gave it all away and would do it all over again if I had to. I loved my kids and would have died for them." Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at the Cope Memorial Chapel, 404 W. Arrington St. in Farmington. Jeanette will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens following the service.
