Evelyn Irvine
Age 83, passed away on May 6, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 19, 1933 in Belfast, Ireland to Hugh Campbell and Martha Benson Campbell she spent her early years in Belfast and during wartime in her beloved town of Killyleagh.
Evelyn married James on November 29, 1952 in Toronto, Canada and then settled in the community of Torrance, CA where they raised their four children. She enjoyed life with a deep appreciation of family, friendship, and kindness to all who knew her. Evelyn's positive spirit, grace and charm will be remembered by the many lives she touched.
She is survived by James, her husband of 64 years, her children, Wayne (Joan), Mark (Betty), Andrea (Mike); her sister, Maureen; and 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jason Irvine; sisters May and Edna; and great grandson, Wylder Laffoon.
A service will be held on Friday May 20, 2016 at St. Andrew's Church, 301 Avenue D, Redondo Beach, CA 90277 at 11:00am to 12:00pm followed by a reception at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
