Your mother was such a wonderful lady. I remember that she was always so welcoming to me and always exuded joy. What a blessing she was in my life. I am grateful that she raised such lovely daughters that remain dear friends in my life even though we live so far apart. You are very much in my thoughts and prayers.

Jo Ann was a mentor to me at United Bearing Company between 1985 and 1987. I started there at the age of 18, and I was somewhat wayward and lost. I did meet Jo Ann,during a job interview at United Bearing Company in Gardena, and she hired me and became my supervisor. She continued to be an example to me of self-discipline, and it was this ongoing self-discipline that she had over herself, and her own work ethic, that she imparted to me, that made me ultimately ready to go back to school. She frequently encouraged me to go to college. I now have three master's degrees, a bachelor's degree, and two associates degrees, as well as two teaching credentials. I am currently working as a para educator in Torrance. I remember Jo Ann working through her breaks. She had the ultimate focus and diligence on the job, and she told me about talking while at work, and what not to do. She told me to focus on the task, and to always be ready to work longer and harder. This gave me the impetus for later on and for those long nights spent studying for degrees. Now that I am the same age she was when I knew her, I hope to return the favor to society by coaching young people, and by elevating them, just as she elevated me. Due to her involvement with me, I did not make any further bad choices in a sense, and although not perfect, I continued on the path toward getting the education she had recommended. I am glad for having known Jo Ann Lecko, and for having had her advise, counsel, and kindness in my younger years. She made a tremendous difference for me and I am sure she has for others, as well. God bless you, Jo! Glow!

To Peter, Linda, Leslie and the rest of the family, I am honored to have known such a wonderful lady back in the day when we'd volunteer to help the YMCA in its annual fundraising for their children's programs.

She was a hard worker, a true character, and had a personality to enlighten any gathering.
I was saddened (but understanding) when she and Pete moved away.

God bless you dear one,
Pat
