Jody Glasser
Jody Glasser was born in Paterson, New Jersey on November 13, 1958 to Bernard and Sybil Glasser. He peacefully passed away in his new home in Camas, Washington on Sunday, February 5, 2017. He was 58 years old.
Jody was an accomplished engineer, recently retired as the Vice President of Technology at Teledyne Controls in El Segundo, California. He graduated from Cornell University School of Engineering in 1980 with a degree in electrical engineering. After graduation, he moved to California and worked at Hughes Aircraft prior to accepting a position with Teledyne Controls where he worked for most of his career and formed lasting friendships and a second family among his co-workers.
Before relocating to Washington in 2015, Jody and his family were long-time residents of Rancho Palos Verdes. He married his best friend Ophelia Pasibe 15 years ago and they were blessed with two daughters, Josephine Alexis and Angela Bernadette, who are the love of his life. He considered Josie and Angie his greatest accomplishments and was always amazed and awed by everything they did. He traveled extensively with them, and delighted at seeing the glimmer of discovery and wonder in their eyes. They were what gave him joy.
Those who were fortunate to be around this gentle man who had a wicked sense of humor and bellowing laugh will always cherish his memory. His kindness and generosity was boundless, as was his capacity to love.
Jody is survived by his wife Ophelia; children Josephine and Angela; nephews Jesse Glasser Jones of Red Springs, NC and Lee Glasser of McKinney, TX. He was preceded in death by his father Bernard Glasser; his mother Sybil Irene Nussbaum; and brother Jason Glasser.
A celebration of Jody's life will be held at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday, February 10 at 11 a.m.
The family extends their appreciation to the doctors and caregivers at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, OHSU Knight Cancer Center and Community Home Health & Hospice of Washington & Oregon. In lieu of flowers consider donating to these three organizations in Jody's name. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

It´s been seven years and I still miss you. The children are doing great. Josie graduated from CIA culinary school and Angie is doing well with college life. I wish you could be here with us. There are things that time simply can´t heal, that´s me without you.

One of my favorite people I was able to work with. Always in a great mood no matter what his condition, may he rest in peace.

I was Jody's classmate at both JD high school and Cornell. He was very smart and very funny. He loved music very much, and we saw some good shows together, including his brother Jason's band. A good guy and a good friend

Jody and I worked together at Teledyne for many years and I always appreciated his great sense of humor.
We have worked many late nights to make Teledyne ' s first email system based on the VAX4000 functional and it was a pleasure working with Jody since he had so many good ideas how to approach technical problems.
We socialized many times outside of work and he surely will be missed by anyone who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.

Jody was a great person and hard worker. I heard he was a good poker player, but I never got a chance to have fun with him in that way. He will be missed.

I had the privilege to meet Jody just for a fleeting moment at Teledyne Controls three years ago. His presence and sense of humor stay with me to this day. His intellect and accomplishment here at the company are overwhelming.
Great co-worker! Rest in peace!!!

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. That is a paper you handed to me (in photo) before end of 1999. I was going to give you back when I retire and you should be after me.... but now you are gone... Well, I will still do by taking it to your grave-site if I last to that day. It was a mission impossible for many others, but we did it!
