I met Judy in 5th grade, along with our partner-in-fun, Carol. In the summer we used to run through the sprinklers fully clothed, then go to Judy's house and iron the clothes dry before going home. We also had slumber parties where no slumber happened. I will always remember laughing together so hard and making up our own adventures. I was so saddened to hear about her passing. My sincere condolences to her family.

I first met Judy when we had both just turned 10 years old, and my family moved in across the street from hers. Our birthdays were only three days apart, and we started fifth grade together at a school new to both of us. We were very close friends throughout elementary school, and I have great memories of playing with her and Jane during our summer vacations. As young adults, Judy and I were roommates off and on for several years in a number of different locations - she was always such a great friend and confidante! In recent years we reconnected and met for breakfast every few months halfway between our two homes in our original haunt of Torrance. We were both passionate about social justice, and had great conversations discussing politics and ways to make this world a better place. I am stunned and saddened by her passing. She was such a brave fighter and always so optimistic about conquering her disease that I can hardly believe she's gone. To Jeff, Jessica, Jane, and the entire family, my family and I send our most heartfelt condolences. Judy, I love you and I will miss you.

I have such wonderful memories of our days in Job's Daughters. Judy was such a wonderful person, always with a positive attitude and caring for others. We lost touch over the years but my bethel "sisters" have always been in my heart. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family ... she will be deeply missed.
