I first met Ken in early 1983 when I was assigned to his court as a Public Defender. I appeared before him daily for just over six months. I was impressed with the formal approach he took in addressing the attorneys and litigants who appeared before him. He was the first judge who suggested I consider becoming a judicial officer. Little did I know then that we would become colleagues and serve together on the court for 11 years until his retirement. He was a good friend and mentor to me and many others and he will be missed by all of us who knew and loved him.

Ken was a great friend at work and socially. We discussed many cases when he was a prosecutor and as a judge. He spoke the 'King's English' as an accent to his wonderful sense of humor. His speech at my retirement party is memorable. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. John Diemer, IPD retired

Ken was truly a gentleman, a friend and fine judge while maintaining warm relationships with his many colleagues. I am very proud to have known him. R.I.P.
