Lucia Ferraris Caparino
1924-2015
Beloved mother and grandmother, Lucia Ferraris Caparino passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 90. She came to the United States from the Philippines in 1962 and made Torrance her home until her death. She lost her husband, Filomeno Caparino in 2000 and is survived by her children, Elenita Monzon, Emerita Belmont, Mercedes Redard, Remedios Hulett, Elmer Caparino and Melody Caparino-Merced. Lucia was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 2 step great-grandchildren and 1 step great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well as a brother and a sister in the Philippines. Memorial Services at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. Viewing on Thursday, April 23rd, 3-8pm. Funeral on Friday, April 24th, 9am. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

"Mom" was truly one of the nicest persons I have ever met. So friendly and warm. Sad that I did not tell her that directly. She touched so many people and brightened their day. And she raised wonderful and dedicated children. I missed not having you in my life...after having gotten to know you many years back.
