I knew Teresa since I was 13, she was like a second mom to me. She was always kind to me and my life was better having known her. Rest in peace sweet lady.

Sad to hear about my friend Teresa Bird, who in recent years mostly kept in touch thru Christmas cards, but she was a great activist in Democratic politics for so many decades, and in my case all during the 70's when we worked together in local South Bay politics and the RFK Deomocratic Club. Will miss her and her spirit.

Teresa was so wonderful to me; helping me in my career. I was so sorry to find she had passed. She was a wondrous, steady as she moves light that brightened many of our lives.

When I was elected President of the Torrance Democratic Club, some things became very apparent, one was who the go-to people are, and Teresa Bird was one of those people. Among other things, she was a one-person phonebank machine! Countless times, for countless candidates and causes, she contacted thousands (Tens? or hundreds of thousands?) of people around Torrance, the South Bay and beyond. She was quite simply just an all-a-round dedicated volunteer and activist whose efforts, though maybe not clearly noticed by most, will none-the-less be felt for generations to come. She will most definitely be missed.
