Feb. 14, 2018 Woodland Michael R. Garcia, 56, passed away Feb. 14. Michael was a longtime employee of Fleetwood Homes and most recently worked for Karsten Homes in Sacramento. He was very proud of his craftsmanship and is fondly remembered by all of his colleagues who nicknamed him Lobo (Wolfman). Michael was also an artist and his family will always remember his passion for painting and drawing elaborate and intricate scenes. Michael is survived by his son, Jason N. Garcia, and grandson, Kaiden; mother, Juanita (Jenny) Garcia; sisters, Lupe, Mona (Garcia) Dewey, and Connie Garcia, and Corina Jimenez; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Garcia; paternal grandparents, Lupe Castaneda Guevara and John Garcia; maternal grandparents, Consuelo (Connie) Garcia Hernandez, and Albert Hernandez, as well as numerous uncles and aunts. A viewing and memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, at the Woodland Funeral Home, 305 Cottonwood St. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with the memorial service following from 11 a.m. to Noon. Scattering of the ashes will be a private family ceremony at a later date. A gathering will take place immediately following the services, location to be announced at the services.
