I am so sorry for your loss. Although your hearts are filled with pain and sorrow, our prayer is that you gain comfort and hope from God's promise to reunite us with our love ones on the earth, never having to say goodbye again. For Jesus will make this earth the problem-free paradise that His Father intended it to be. We have gained comfort and strength from this promise, may your family do the same.

Frank was one of my favorites at Spreckels Sugar where we worked together for many years. I heard stories of when he grew up in Woodland and in the same neighborhood as my Mom and Aunt. Being a Navy veteran as well I payed close attention to his story about the Morrison. It was an DDE and off the coast of Okinawa was on picket duty to protect the fleet from attack when the Japanese would send bombers that way. He had just changed engine room with another ship mate who wanted to transfer to the forward engine room. That engineering space had a direct hit from a Kamikaze, no engine man in that space survived. Frank was 19 years old at that time. I found a book years later titled, Little Ship Big War. I read about the Morrison in that book and then took the book to Frank as a gift. He was already retired at that time. I know this is lengthly but its my tribute to a Man I respected and admired for his humility. He will be missed.
