Dear Rod and Linda,

Our condolences to you and to your boys.

As you know, we were fortunate to meet Mary Anne and Paul through your Aunt Isabell Thomas. Mary Anne was a true lady! So gracious, loving, and full of life. When we lived in California, we enjoyed getting together for an occasional dinner at our house or Isabell's to swap stories about all of our travels. When she found out that I was one of those rare individuals who liked fruitcake, she added me to the list of people who received her delicious homemade fruitcake at Christmas time.

After moving to South Carolina and discovering we lived ten minutes from your house, it was an extra Christmas gift to have Mary Anne and Paul come over when they visited you. After Paul died, Mary Anne and I would have wonderful talks at a local restaurant when she came East. We will always remember her warm smile and joyful personality. She and your Dad are now together...probably planning a trip around the stars and the heavens!

Each Sunday for the past couple of years we have lighted a candle for you, Mary Anne. We will continue to do so as you proceed on your journey.

God Bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand. We will miss you greatly.
Much love,
Your cousins
