Janet (Lasher) Murray KINGSTON- Janet (Lasher) Murray, 55, of Kingston, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. She was born Sept. 7, 1962 in Kingston, to the late Charles and Lorain Lasher. She was married to Peter B. Murray, who passed away on May 5, 2012. Janet was a member of Fair Street Reformed Church, where she volunteered with the Youth Group and sang with the Praise Team. She enjoyed crafts, visiting Cape Cod, but above all she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially Lynda and Roy H. Anderson. She is survived by her siblings, Doreen Hornyak, Debbie (Al) Morris, Patti (Fred) Bouton, Lory (Michael) Long, Peter (Tina) Lasher, Mark Lasher, and their families. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Judy Murray and the Murray family; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her siblings, Charlene Johnson, Caroline Hildebrandt, and Jeanne Marie Lasher. Entrusted to the care of A. Carr & Son Funeral Home, 65 Lucas Ave., Kingston where family and friends may visit on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., Rev. Kendra VanHouten, officiating. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery, Kingston. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Fair Street Reformed Church, by mail, 209 Fair St., Kingston, N.Y., 12401, or online www.fairstreetreformed church.org or a charity of your choice. So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. We were best friends in high school but lost touch afterwards. It was only about a year ago we found each other again on the internet. I have many fond memories of her. RIP Janet.
