Phil Thorpe was a valued friend who could be trusted as a man of integrity, as a professional, and as good neighbor in Tannersville. I, and our son, bought at least eight or nine cars from him and his son Eric over the years. I faithfully take my new cars to Brad who keeps them in shape. Phil was one of the most honest, humble and determined, good person that I have known in my 59 years of ministry, much of it in NYC . I regret his loss, but rejoice that he is with God and in the communion of saints. PS I just received word of his death from y son Ernie.

So sad to hear of your loss. My condolences to the Thorpe family. May you find peace soon but always keep fond memories of Phil. My family did business with Phil for many years.

Pam, Penny, Brad, Eric and families:
Deepest sympathy.
Your Dad was always good to my family. My brother Greg bought his first car from Thorpe's. My parents Aram and Helen bought all Thorpe vehicles while living in Tannersville. Your Dad was always dependable when they needed car repairs. I also remember your Dad having a great sense of humor.
