Barth C. Hansen of Mount Prospect Services for Mr. Barth C. Hansen, 87, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 S. School St., Mount Prospect, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect. Born Jan. 18, 1918, in Chicago, he died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, in Arlington Heights. Mr. Hansen was a World War II veteran who served with the 101st Airborne, 327th G.I.R. He was a banker in the Chicago area for more than 50 years. He was the husband of Dolores; father of Deborah Benson, Richard (Barbara), Donald (Maria) and the late David; and grandfather of Kirsten, Erik, Aubrey, Christian, Nicolaus and Matthew. Bath was a wonderful neighbor who always took the time to say hello, especially with the children. He would take in your paper, garbage can, and would always wave as you drove by. All of us on We-Go will dearly miss him, and our prayers are with Dolores during this sad time.

I was sad to read this morning of Barths passing....A flood of longtime memories of the old neighborhood on forest avenue in mount prospect, i will always treasure...my sympathy to all elaine gibbon
