HUNTLEY - John W. Montwicki, 47, died peacefully, April 11, 2018. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18 at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for his children's education. John was born August 27, 1970 the son of Gerald and Jean Montwicki. John was a devoted son and father who will be greatly missed. He was an avid sports fan and his greatest joy was his children. He is survived by his mother, Jean Montwicki, his children, Alex, Payton and Parker and their mother, Kelley Montwicki, he is also survived by his sister, Julie (Chris) Mosher. I played Soccer with John for several years. So sorry to hear of his passing. Dale Rosenson was the other defender on that team. I am glad I never had to go up against those two! I have not been in touch with John - I hope his parents are doing well. They were such nice people.

Very sorry to hear this news. John was a good guy, and a very deceptive soccer player. Glad he was on my team, 'cause I never wanted to go against him. My condolences to his family and close friends. Take care buddy.

Johnny will definitely be missed. I have many great memories of spending time with him. Praying for all family and friends left behind that will certainly need time to process the loss. Rest in peace Johnny. See you again, soon....
