In loving memory of my Aunt Virg. May she rest in peace. My sincerest condolences to her sons and their families.
Love and Prayers, Mary Virginia (Lear) Schriver
June 9, 2019
As a long-time volunteer at the Self-Help Closet & Pantry Virginia came in contact with almost all of our clients. In the 15 years that I have volunteered there I have seen families who came to us when their children were toddlers and are now in high school. Two children in one family especially would greet Virginia with a hug at every visit. This went on for years. Throughout her tenure at the pantry, her rare absences were greeted with concern by the clients. When we broke the news of her passing to those who inquired about her, there were tears. No one could believe she had just celebrated her 95th birthday. Virginia was ageless. She was such an important part of the pantry, we can only hope to continue her wonderful legacy. I feel her watching over us now as we continue her work.
