Dear Aunt Dawn, I would like to send condolences from the Hollifields in South Carolina. I always loved visits with Uncle James - his wit and charm were one of a kind. Love you very much.

Dear Dawn and family,
I'll always remember how I met you and James. It was on one of the West Chester Railroad's inaugural trips. Gwenn Knapp and I were sitting behind you and commented that we wished we had known we could bring wine. James turned to us, bottle and glasses in hand, and graciously offered us some of yours. That graciousness, I later came to know, was one of his hallmarks -- and is one of yours, as well. I'll always think of him as a man of principle, with a wry sense of humor -- and as one of the only true gentlemen I've ever known.

I got to know Dr L'heureux when I lived off Dean Street in West Chester. He and Mrs. L'heureux couldn't have been kinder to a new neighbor. I enjoyed dropping off aluminum cans to him for a recycle program that benefitted the math department at WCU. We'd have great discussions about LSU tiger football and needless to say he was not too endeared to Alabama. I was sorry to hear of his passing. A true gentleman, my condolences to Mrs L'heureux and family. Jeffrey P.Hurley M.D.
