JEAN MARY (DeHOLLANDER) WELLER, 96, most recently of Downingtown and previously of Coatesville, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Born on October 4, 1924 in Oswego, NY, she was the daughter and only child of the late Bessie (Vercrouse) and John DeHollander. She was a graduate of Oswego High School and Antioch College, Yellow Springs, OH, and upon marrying the late Robert E. Weller on April 19, 1947 she moved to the Coatesville area where they lived together until his death on January 20, 2002. Jean and Bob were active members of the former Coatesville Presbyterian Church and the Westminster Presbyterian Church of West Chester. Jean loved travel, entertaining, and sewing, and for many years she led the “Magic Needles” ministry at Westminster Church. Jean is survived by her son, John R. Weller, and his wife Erin of Reading. Founds-Feryo Cremation and Burial Services, LLC, West Chester is in charge of final arrangements. Interment will be private; information regarding the live-streaming of the memorial service will be provided at: www.foundsfuneralhome.com.

Jean was an inspiration on aging. Her bright smile and happy gait just made you feel good. She was a lovely woman. My deepest sympathy at her passing.

We enjoyed the special friendship we shared with Jean. She was an amazing lady; the only person we’ve ever known, in their nineties, who exercised at the YMCA three times a week (until Covid-19). She loved her church and was so proud of the amazing choir. She was incredibly proud of her son, John, and so thankful for he and his wife Erin. She valued her friendships, and always expressed gratitude for the good things in her life. The perfect example of a life well lived. She was bubbly, peppy, sweet and gave us a lot of good advice. We admired her and feel blessed to have so many special memories of the good times we had together. My she rest in peace in the loving arms God.

Our deepest condolences to John and Erin. We pray for your comfort and peace as you go through this difficult time.
