I have known Joe all of my life, he was a family friend, neighbor and mentor. When I was young, Joe mentored me and passed on to me, what would define my life and that was the love he had for the outdoors. Today there isn't a week that goes by, that I am not thinking about the upcoming hunting season or what to fish for. I can't imagine what my life would be like, if it wasn't for Joe showing me how to shoot a gun, call to a Turkey or how to catch a fish. Too me Joe was simply the coolest guy and someone I hoped to become. I can remember as a child, playing in the neighborhood, and seeing Joe coming down the street in his pickup truck. I would drop whatever in was doing, and run to meet him in his driveway. I don't remember the name of his bird dog, but Joe would call her "Liver lips", which would make us laugh. Joe would sometimes hand me a pheasant or rabbit or a squirrel. He would show me how to clean it, and then give me the feet to take into Show and Tell. There I would stand in front of the class, pulling on the tendons, to make the feet move this way and that. My class mates love it. I will miss you Joe but you will always be with me every time I'm in the woods or pulling in that fish.
I love you

when I think of Joe, I think of his smile, he spoke with a twinkle in his eye. It was great being his next door neighbor. I can still hear his voice and know that he is having great conversations with our Lord right now. Love, Anita

There are no words that can ever express the loss one feels when you lose your Dad. But what helps us get through this difficult time is all the memories we have of them. Some of my memories are the family dinners we had at Mom-Mom and Pop-Pops. The time we came to visit you in the winter and my Dad sat wrapped in a blanket by the fireplace. But my fondest one is the time of my high school graduation and when Uncle Joe looked at my diploma and saw it wasnt signed. He told me it didnt graduate until it got signed. When we met up again at Linda Jean and Chriss wedding the first thing he asked me was did I get my diploma signed. So as the days and weeks pass remember all the good times that were spent together to help comfort you. Know that we are here for you
Love you more.

Jane & Joe warmly welcomed us as neighbors in 2000. We were immediately smitten by both of them, and we spent much time together. Fun and kind people, and what a fund of wisdom! I had no idea until today of Joe's age and wouldn't have been able to guess, because he never seemed "old". Joe, I'll miss you very much. But I also know how very much you long for reunions with your loved ones who preceded you. Buona ventura, wonderful friend & neighbor, until we meet again.
