Michael Hamilton Obituary
He was the son of the late John and Nona ( Kohler). He was raised
in Havertown where he attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School Class of 1972. He was US Army Reserve veteran. He worked at the Philadelphia Naval Ship yard for 21 years until its closing. He then was employed by the United States Postal Service, until his retirement in 2017. Aside from his work Mike was dedicated to his children and community by volunteering at HPKAA and MSGR Bonner Father-Son Association for many years.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Patricia (Ward), his children Patrick, Daniel (Lisa), Katie Hamilton and Kelly Law (Kevin), his grandchildren Nicholas, Madison, Ryan, Brooke, Ella, Brenna, Olivia, his sisters Rita Hudecheck, Dee Rosati, Ann Berger, Brothers Jack, Steve, Leo, Mark and Vince Hamilton. Mike is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 20, 2017, 6:00-8:00 PM; Thursday 8:00 AM-9:45 AM Logan Funeral Home 57 South Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19803. Funeral Mass Will be Thursday 10:30 AM at Saint Laurence Church, Upper Darby, Pa.
Interment is Private.

To Pat and all of the Hamilton Family:
My sincere sympathy on the passing of your husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle.
I'm sure you have plenty of happy memories that will help to ease the pain of your loss. As for me...I have lots of good memories of Mike from high school. We used to say he looked like Charlton Heston, whose big movie back in the 70's was "Planet of the Apes". Once Mike knew that, he would quote Heston's character every chance he had by saying, "Fight like an ape!" It's still the first thing I think of when I hear his name. Over the years, I would run into him occasionally (usually with you, Pat), and he was still as nice and funny as he was when we were teenagers. He was very proud of his children and would tell me what each one was up to at the time.
I'm sure Mike really did "fight like an ape" during his illness, but now he is at rest. Hopefully, he'll run into Charlton Heston in the next life and can do the imitation for him. I know he has lots of people laughing.
