Dear Betsy, Hugh and Elliot,
I am SO very sorry to hear about our dear Wendy. What a horrible time she must have been going through these last few months, maybe even years. Lulu was the one who told me how far her cancer had progressed; far more that I ever would have imagined. I was sure Wendy would conquer this like she did most things in life. So young, so cute, so unstoppable.

I have some video tapes here, some I took, some Jerry took. Wendy is in them and she's just being her crazy fun self! They're fun to look at, but sad to know the star of them is no longer with us.

As I look at her picture I find it nearly impossible to believe I'm looking at her obituary. I do have so many fond memories of her--of all of you!

I just returned from Cleveland today, looking after my 90-yr-old mother. It would have been difficult to get to Kennet Square, too.

You all have my deepest sympathy. Wendy was a treasure and I'll miss her very much.

Fondly, Paul
