NEWPORT NEWS - Bettina 'Tina' Scott Landes, 43, passed away Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at MCV Hospital in Richmond. A lifelong Peninsula resident, Tina shared her love and special gifts working as a teacher's assistant with handicapped children at Watkins Elementary School for 10 years and presently at Kiln Creek Elementary. She was a graduate of Poquoson High School and a member of Colony Friends Church. Tina is survived by her loving parents, Amos A. Campbell, Sr. and Carol L. Campbell of Newport News; maternal grandmother, Gladys Spradley of Hampton; two daughters, Jennifer and Kayla Landes of Newport News; a brother, Allen Campbell, Jr. of Yorktown; a nephew, Parker Campbell; her fiancée, Richard Touchstone of Newport News; and numerous other family members and special friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Weymouth Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at the funeral home chapel by Pastor Al Boorhis of Colony Friends Church. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of either flowers or contributions to The Butterfly Garden, Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.

My Dear Carol and Family, Almost a year has passed since we lost Tina and it has been a hard year. My God in his wisdom please touch you and your family on this anniversary of her death and all the years to come. I love all of you. Brenda

Mom and Dad Campbell,
I wanted to let you know that I love you both and I miss Tina so much. It has been a long time since that first day of high school in 1977 but I can honestly say that no one has touch my life as much or as greatly as Tina. God bless you both.

You all know how I feel about your family, you are my family too. There are no words to express how I feel about losing Tina. I guess God needed a beautiful angel to help him and he chose her.
