Dear Bill, Kerstin, Derek and family: I can not imagine your heartache with the loss of Connie. When she came to Magruder as Vice Principal, I was fortunate enough to be her secretary. Then when she went to Peninsula Catholic, I went with her, starting my own catering business and feeding "her" students in the cafeteria. So many lives have been touched by Connie, believe me she has left a mark on everyone's heart. I have never met anyone that cared as much for others as she did. Bill and I send our love and prayers.

Mr. Cowardin, I was very sorry to just read of Mrs. Cowardin's passing. I pray God will give you & your family the strength to endure during this sad time. My thoughts & prayers will be with you.

To Connie Cowardin's family, I always said that if you looked up teacher in the dictionary that Mrs. Cowardin's picture would be there with the definition. She taught my daughter Lindsay Staples in 4th grade at St. Andrews Episcopal School. She encouraged Lindsay, praised her and supported her dream of being a writer. My daughter wept at the news of her passing, as did I. She will remain an inspiration to my daughter for the rest of her life. With love, Lindsay, Sherri and Doug Staples

To Bill, Kerstin, Derek, and Family:
How heavy my heart is to learn today of the passing of my dear, dear friend and colleague. Connie and I teamed together at Hines, and our time together was filled with so much joy! What an amazing woman: devoted wife and mother, a master teacher, and above all, a loving friend. I have and will continue to cherish the memories that fill my heart and mind of a lady I loved so dearly. Family, my prayer is that the Holy Spirit will engulf you with His love, His comfort, and His peace.
