To Mrs. Taylor's family,
I have lived in CVMHP since almost the very beginning (we moved here in July '86). Both Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were special people. I am so sorry to hear about her passing and am glad I stopped to chat for a few minutes one day when I saw her outside (probably shortly before she passed). I have a memory to share (don't know if they ever told the children)--One year on Thanksgiving, Jerry and I were on our way to my sister's for dinner. He saw the collards growing in their garden and thought they were the pretties collards he had seen in a while. He couldn't pass them up so he snatched a few. Of course, he told on himself later and I made them a Cherry Flip (a dessert I make often) to "pay" for the collards. When she returned my dish, it was filled with collards she had cooked and they were delicious! I will always remember both of your parents with fondness and the rest of the family in my prayers. I pray for peace and that your many wonderful memories will give you comfort.

Dear Woodie and Cindy,

My favorite memory of your mom was back when all of us were at Ferguson Corporation, and every Christmas she catered our office Christmas party. The food was always wonderful, and Bill Ferguson especially loved her Lemon Apricot Pound Cake. He said it was the only cake he would eat. Helen gave Sandy and I both the recipe. Your dad always helped your mom bring all the food in, then he stood back, so proud, while we devoured everything. I miss those days. And Phil really misses your mom and dad.
If there is anything we can do, please call on us.
Love you,
Etta and Phil
