I was totally taken aback; just received message about his passing yesterday. Lonnie always made the time for everyone and anyone. If you ever had the opportunity to sit down and pick Lonnie's brain you would leave inspired and energized. You will be missed. CW3 Tommy Benbow, U.S. Army (Ret)

Dear Stith Family,
It was with great sorrow that I heard of Lonnie's shocking passing. We were all together for our 50 th Phenix High reunion and had fun sharing that time.
Lonnie was also a part of what I call "The Lunch Bunch". Practically every day of our freshman year('67-68), four of us would meet him at his red Chevy and since we were non-resident students, he would drive us to find lunch off campus. We were a happy bunch, and he was very giving... never asked for a dollar' worth of gas. I am proud of the man that he became and thankful for the friendship we shared. I pray God's blessings on all of you.
Rest in Heaven Lonnie.
