Marilynn was my favorite professor by far at William and Mary; her teaching ability along with her charismatic personality allowed me to love French as a language and as a culture. She was eternally youthful, which makes her passing all the harder to accept. Her ability to laugh and empathize were so endearing to me as a student and as an adult. She was larger than life and unforgettable. She certainly influenced my life and shaped me to be the person that I am today. I shall truly miss her.

Dear Stephanie and Family,

I want you to know that being Paul's Mom 2 was one of the great joys of my life. My son Will was your Mom's son 2. He thought all the world of her. When they weren't at one home they were at the other. Your Mom and I became fast friends. We shared our joys and sorrows about our kids and worried together when they were out riding around. We even both worked at CW for a while. When we moved to South Carolina we stayed in touch by mail. I miss her very much.
Your Mom was one of the most intelligent accomplished women I have ever known. She was fun and had a great sense of humor.
I am grieving with you and pray that God will comfort you all.
Love,
Carolyn Simpson, Mom 2

So sorry to hear about your loss. You know that God and Jesus are in the best position to comfort us when we lose a loved one in death.
