NEWPORT NEWS - Mary Beasley Deppe, known as Pat, lost her battle with Alzheimer's on January 4, 2013. Pat graduated from Newport News High School in 1945 and attended JMU. Her beautiful voice contributed to countless choral groups. In addition to singing, Pat loved to travel and work with children at Waller Mill Elementary. She is survived by her husband, Herb Deppe, her children, Wilson Deppe (wife Wasana) and Mary Parrish (husband Robby Parrish), her grandchildren, Kelsey Deppe, Kara Deppe, and Kylie Deppe. The service will be held at Bruton Parish Church with a reception to follow at the Parish House on January 12th at 2:00 p.m.. The Deppe family would like to thank Bruton Parish Church and Dr. Dan Brown and his medical staff for their continued support throughout Pat's long illness. Additional thanks to Bucktrout Funeral Home of Williamsburg for their help during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the Heritage Humane Society of Williamsburg or the Alzheimer's Foundation at www.alzfdn.org/.
