To the Bains Family--was so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. We had lost contact with the family for the last several years but always thought of you guys and the fun times we had together. We have fond memories of our daughter,Tori, Edward and Glen playing together in the old neighborhood. Thinking of family during this difficult time.

To the family of Mary Lou Phillips Bains,
It has been several years since I last saw Mary Lou, but remember the fun times of playing together with her,her brother and sister, whenever I visited my Mitchell relatives that were her neighbors. After the two families moved to other areas on the peninsula, I didn't see her as often as she graduated from NNHS in '52 and I also graduated that same year but from HHS. It was after our graduation that we reconnected as Freshmen at Longwood College and lived on the same hall. Mary Lou was a very fun-loving person and would do anything to help someone. We had a lot of fun that one year at Longwood. As the old saying goes, "you never forget your childhood friends" and that is true of Mary Lou. I know each family member has lots of memories of special times with Mary Lou and these memories will last forever. To each family member I send my deepest sympathy and hope that all the fond memories will help comfort you during this sad time.

I love the photo of Mrs. Bains with her knowing look, laughing at some silly remark (or so I imagine). Her passing is a loss to so many people, and to our world.
