Dear Jackie, I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of Wally, one of the finest gentlemen I ever knew. I am filled with so many warm memories of our years together in the legislature. We were seated near each other in the House chamber during much of that time, and each session day was made brighter for me when we saw each other. His constant smile and friendliness coupled with his principled character and effectiveness earned him the respect and admiration of all.
