NEWPORT NEWS - Dorothy Woodward, 85, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Woodward, and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Survivors include four children; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel, A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the funeral home followed by interment in Peninsula Memorial Park. I love Nanny! She was a great grandmother and growing up I always cried leaving her and Papas house. I will always remember her and thank God for her life. I am praying for the rest of the family that they cling to Jesus during the seasons of grief.
