Dorinda, Wayne Sr, Cindy, & Wayne Jr,
Im so sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs Hamm was a very kind lady. I havent seen her in years but the last time I did she was so proud of her family. She always had a kind word to say and a hug to give. That made her a very special person. Keep your head up and if you need anything please dont hesitate to ask.

A couple of days before her death, It was my blessing to pray with Mr. Hamm and share stories about the past. Sister Rosamund, OSF, who now resides in Reading, PA, assured the family, especially Dorinda, of special prayers to the Lord. All of our Bernardine Franciscan Sisters at MIH offered prayers for this precious mother. Now that she rests forever with Jesus, she is remembering us in prayer...What a precious mother...what a precious family.
In Jesus,

What precious memories I will forever cherish of Aunt Thelma. She was such a special, inspiration lady. I know that she is in heaven today having a special reunion with all that had gone before her. I can only imagine what it must be like for them all to be strolling down the streets of gold with Jesus. Praying that God will surround the family during this difficult time. Love you all. - Michelle, Brian, Brandon & Hunter Joiner

Thelma was only one of my first cousins. I loved her very much. Once, there was lots of us first cousins, now not so many, because a lot have gone on to be with the Lord. Heaven is a much brighter place today. I can just see the Family Reunion, "Aunt Maggie" (my mom) and Thelma and all those who knew Jesus gathered around visiting and Praising God!! What a Day That will be, When my Jesus's Face I See. There is a new Rose in God's Garden. Seems like only yesterday I was talking to you Thelma. I will miss you. Prayers and Sympathy to the Family.

Thelma was as precious of a lady as I've ever known, always hugging and kissing everyone and making them feel special. I'm thankful that God blessed me with such a sweet cousin. Her 75th birthday party was one I will never forget. what a great time we all had together. Our loss is certainly heaven's gain! Prayers,

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Thelma's passing. She was such a sweet and caring lady. We remember meeting and working with Thelma and Freddie years ago at the Peninsula Lupus Support Group. When she was featured in the Daily Press years ago, it propelled lupus awareness into the limelight locally. Thelma lived each day to the fullest and always had an encouraging word for the next person.
She would talk with my mom Amy each year around her birthday. She last spoke with Thelmas last year.
Thelma's legacy is love and compassion.
Be encouraged and blessed.
