We were pleased to have Wayne and Linda attend the national athletic directors conference in Indianapolis earlier in the month of December. It was great to be them and for our members to have the opportunity to visit with Wayne. Our prayers are with the Taylor family. NIAAA

I am sad he is no longer here. Wayne was one of those people that just made life better. His attitude and funny poking were my favorite attributes of him besides his welcoming acceptance of me and others. He will be missed intensely. Such a good man and I wish he were still here. I pray with all my heart for the family's comfort. May God's arms be felt in this time of loss in a mighty way to all the family. God Bless you. John 14:2-3

To Wayne's family I send my prayers! To Wayne I say rest in peace my friend! I enjoyed your friendship and knowing you as one of your students. Your classes were enjoyable as well as a great help to me! You were the only one who could help me understand Algebra during those frustrating years of higher mathmatics. Thanks and God Bless! I'm really sad about Coach Taylor's passing. He taught my NNHS Algebra class back in the 1960's and was the first person to give me that great advice that's become so popular the last decade or two, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff," and through the years it's helped me a lot. Mr. Taylor was coaching the JV football team that semester, so he had us average our own grades, saying he'd double-check them later. Unfortunately, I was so bad at math that I made a mistake and failed myself. Coach Taylor didn't get to check them because the football season got too busy, which I totally understood, until it was too late; he said I would've failed anyway, but was close enough that he'd have given me a D... For many more reasons, for many more people, he will be greatly missed.

Mr. Wayne Taylor was stage crew sponsor at Newport News High School in the early 1960's. I was fortunate enough to be a high school stage crew member under Mr. Taylor. He was not only a sponsor and teacher but more importantly he was our good friend. My condolences to his family and Mr. Taylor: "Gone but not forgotten"

Our condolences to Wayne's family. Jo and I have known the Taylor family all our lives. We grew up attending the same church. The Taylor brothers, Jo and I were active in the same youth groups. Jo lived around the corner from the Taylor's. May God's love and strength comfort you during this time of mourning.
