Bill and Arlene were truly God's hands and feel on this earth . When I was stationed in Norfolk in the late 80's and early 90's we would attend church at Tabernacle baptist church. The Blake's would always invite us into their home and their lives and showed us god's love . Thank you Bill and Arlene for giving to the lord. God bless you and enjoy your reward.

My memories of My Uncle Bill,

Uncle Bill, loved children. He had a way of coming down to their level and acting silly to get us ALL to laugh. He was a master at "The Name Game Song". Judy Judy Bo Budy....Banana Fanna Fo Fudy..... Always got me to laugh. He loved doing children things....like going to Amusement Parks and riding all the scary rides with us. Over And Over And Over..sometimes. It was a blast. Not only did he love children in general, he very much loved his own children. He always made ME feel loved and as one of his own. Not everyone has "An Uncle Bill" and I was very blessed to have him as mine. I'm sure he had his serious, grown up side of him, but he never burdened us with all that.

He was a caring giving Man and opened his house to anyone in need. He never really knew a stranger. A couple things I learned from him was how to save money by using coupons. He was the coupon King. The other, was how to play Parcheesi. Nanny, his Mother, would always say he was cheating, as he always beat her, somehow... So Uncle Bill, were you cheating???? If I know them, Nanny and Pop and Uncle Bill are back to playing Parcheesi right now, and in the "home" box, it says "heaven" 'cause that's the only place they could possibly be right now.

He was a wonderful Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Husband. Married to my wonderful STRONG Aunt, who I have many Great memories with. My heart and Love goes out to you Aunt Arlene, for YOUR loss. So many years together. I can't imagine what I could say or do to comfort you. Just know I am with you in my Love and Prayers. Cherish the memories.

His favorite niece, Judy LOL Aren't I his ONLY niece?
