I worked with Bill Cutts years ago in the Civil Defense/Communications Office in Newport News. I was the secretary for the office and he was the best boss anyone could work with. He was the perfect gentleman and always had a smile on his face and something positive to say to everyone. I left the office to go to college full time and he was so supportive. I really hated to not be able to continue to work with him because he was also a good friend. He loved his family and his church and was always happy when he talked about them. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and made me laugh all of the time. It broke my heart when I read that he had passed away and knew he was someone that I would never forget. I feel extremely blessed to have worked for him and to have been his friend.

To the Cutts Family,
Mr. Cutts was a a great family friend to my late grandparents, Harry and Daline Smiley of Newport News. He was there for both of their funerals and I remember the tight embraces he gave me at both as he told me how sorry he was to hear of my grandparents passing. He also got my late father, Russell Smiley, his job at the City of NN. I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Cutts and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Bill Cutts was the kindest man who would do anything for you. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and fellow Christians. He has achieved what we are still looking forward to--time with Jesus, his Savior. We are not people without hope for we believe we will see him again. Still, we will miss his presence here just as we rejoice over his presence with Jesus.

It was with great sorrow that I heard about Mr. Cutts passing. I just saw him not 2 months ago when my sister passed away. Mr. Cutts was always a good friend to our family. I met him when I went to work for the credit union in 1985 and I will always remember how he always looked out for us girls at the operations center when we had a 2 person office there. His keen sense of humor always had us laughing about something. Mr. Cutts you will surely be missed by your many friends. It was a pleasure knowing you over the years. My sincere condolences to the family.

To the Cutts Family,
I worked under Bill at the City of NN years ago. He was a guality stand up man. In the recent years, I would see him on Sunday when he would welcome my wife and myself. He would greet me as 'Mr. Hampton' because I left NN to join the Hampton city team. He always had a kind welcome to everybody and his love of the Lord shined brightly. Our prayers go out to each of you. God Bless, John & Sue Millette
