Bishop Grahman greatly appreciated the Focolare Movement. As I remember, he attended a Mariapolis for at least 1 day, and gave a talk emphasizing his positive attitude toward the Movement. He will be missed. Frances Lume Cargille

Bishop Charles Grahmann was a great man, parish priest and bishop. It was a privilege and honor to have him as our parish priest at St. Gregory's Parish in San Antonio, Texas. He was instrumental helping Sylvia and I as a young couple with three daughters one of which he baptized. His kind loving heart and humility along with his deep, German-Texas voice was always full of joy and grace. His work ethics were legendary and his embracing love of all people made everyone who knew him welcome. I always enjoyed my telephone conversation and stories with Bishop Grahmann while he was in San Antonio. Our hearts celebrate his life and his love of God. Our deepest condolences to his family - we have lost an exemplary servant of God.

My deepest condolences and prayers go out to the family of Bishop Charles Grahmann. He and I first met at St. James Catholic Church in San Antonio when he was newly ordained. I was 10 years old at the time. Our family fell in love with him instantly and throughout the years he would always remember me and my family as if it was only yesterday. He will be missed and loved.
